The private equity fund buys the Soap and BM Clinics clinics.
Vendis Capital enters the cosmetic treatment market with the acquisitions of SOAP and BM Clinics. The European private equity fund joins forces with the founders and management of the two Dutch cosmetic clinic chains. The new group under the wings of Vendis Capital has seventeen clinics. The intention is to grow both chains by opening new clinics and doing add-on acquisitions.
Vendis Capital focuses on the European consumer market and participates in small and medium-sized enterprises. Deals are concluded in partnership with experienced entrepreneurs and managers.
Vendis hopes to benefit from the growing interest in cosmetic treatments. In the Netherlands, treatments are largely still offered in small individual clinics.
SOAP, which was supervised during the transaction by takeover advisor Marktlink, was founded in Amsterdam in 2005 by sisters Esther and Stephanie Litjens. SOAP is active in seven cities in the Netherlands. BM Clinics was started in Eindhoven in 2013 by Monique Vonken and is a provider mainly of injectables. BM Clinics is active in nine cities in the Netherlands. BM Clinics was advised by Bol Adviseurs during the transaction.
The acquisition of SOAP and BM Clinics and the subsequent formation of the new group represents the first investment from Vendis Capital IV. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.
