After a successful $5 million seed funding round in 2025, Conveo is raising a $50 million Series A round.
The new fund will be backed by the same Belgian investors – 6 Degrees Capital, Entourage Capital, Pitchdrive and Syndicate One – as well as US-based Y Combinator, and joined by DST Global Partners, Balderton Capital and Visionaries.
“What we saw at seed has only sharpened,” 6 Degrees comments. “Two things got them there: relentless execution and customers who kept pulling the product deeper into their own infrastructure. So we are glad to be in again…”
Founded in April 2024 by Belgian founders Dieter de Mesmaeker (DataCamp co-founder) and Hendrik van Hove (ex-McKinsey), Conveo started as an AI research assistant that holds video conversations with thousands of customers in days instead of the months it would take a team. “Can we bring deep consumer understanding to the enterprise? That question started Conveo two and a half years ago,” shares Hendrik. “Since then, we’ve built a stellar team, partnered with the most incredible brands and agencies, and spent countless weeks with our users – yes, face-to-face!”
He explains that those conversations informed the company’s mission to drive enterprise growth based on consumer understanding. Its newest product, however, integrates Conveo into its clients’ infrastructure.
“There we sit at the root of their marketing campaigns, product developments, as well as M&A strategies.”
Every conversation adds to a shared, real-time picture of the consumer that teams can search in plain language through tailored dashboards. “Every brand should have a digital consumer twin: a living, continuously updated picture of the people it serves, what they need, how those needs are changing, and why,” shares Kees Kruythoff, former president of Unilever North America and Global Home Care. “During my time at Unilever, we always wanted to bring the outside in, so the consumer was present in every major decision, not just when a research project was commissioned. Conveo is building the infrastructure to make that possible.”
Today, over 400 enterprises use the platform, including over 50 Fortune 500 brands (such as Google, Unilever, AB InBev and Canva). “If you'd told me two years ago we'd be working with a team of this calibre while the biggest brands in the world run on our infra, I wouldn't have believed you – yet somehow I truly have a feeling we're just getting started,” revels Dieter. “This raise will accelerate Conveo as we take our next step from an AI research tool to infrastructure the entire enterprise runs on.”
The combined $55.8 million capital will go towards expanding Conveo’s footprint across the United States and the rest of the Fortune 500 environment. “Dieter, Hendrik and the team have built an exceptional product, and we are excited to continue supporting them as they expand in the U.S. and define this new category,” says James Wise, partner at Balderton Capital.
“To all researchers, marketers, builders and everyone who cares about their customer. You are our heroes,” Hendrik concludes: “We dedicate this Series A to you.”
