Belgian investment company Gimv reported solid results for the first half of its 2025 financial year, driven by continued growth across its portfolio companies. The firm delivered a non-annualised portfolio return of 9.5 percent and booked a net profit of 126.9 million euros, or 3.4 euros per share. Gimv’s net asset value per share rose 6.3 percent to 53.9 euros.
The results come as Gimv accelerates its growth strategy, investing more than 300 million euros in the first six months of the year. This pushed the total value of its portfolio to an all-time high of 2 billion euros.
CEO Koen Dejonckheere said the portfolio showed resilience despite a volatile economic backdrop marked by weakening consumer demand and industrial slowdown in Europe. “Our companies again outperformed general economic growth”, he noted, adding that the strong performance aligns with Gimv’s increased return targets.
With significant investment capacity available, Gimv says it is well positioned to continue supporting the expansion of its portfolio companies and pursue new opportunities in the months ahead.
