Argos, an independent European private equity group with offices across France, Italy, the Benelux and DACH regions, has promoted Arne Louwagie to Senior Director within its Benelux investment team.
Louwagie joined Argos in 2016 and has since played an important role in the firm’s investment activities.
He is currently involved with several portfolio companies, including Schenk Tanktransport, Gantrex and Lineas, where he serves as a board member and supports value creation and refinancing initiatives.
He notably contributed to the acquisition of Schenk in 2021 and its transformational acquisition of Suttons in 2024, alongside several add-on transactions. Earlier in his career at Argos, he was involved in the acquisition and portfolio management of Cohedron, which was divested in 2021.
Beyond his investment work, Louwagie is actively engaged in internal initiatives at Argos, including local team management and the firm’s pan-European training academy for directors and managers.
Before joining Argos, he gained M&A experience at Squarefield in Amsterdam. Louwagie holds a Master in Business Engineering from the University of Leuven and a Specialised Master in Financial Management from Vlerick Business School. He speaks Dutch, English and French.
