The restart of the Belgian and Dutch stores was not successful.
The originally Dutch clothing brand Scotch & Soda has not succeeded in making a new start, the curators of the bankrupt company report.
According to them, there were serious interested parties, but they dropped out because they could not also buy the Scotch & Soda brand. The physical stores are now closed, but the online store is kept up and running by another company.
A week ago it was announced that a large part of Scotch & Soda had gone bankrupt for the second time in just over a year. Under the care of an American brand management company, Bluestar Alliance, the fashion company made a new start last year. But due to major problems with the supply of new clothing, the division that houses 92 stores in five European countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria) recently went bankrupt. The part of Scotch & Soda that includes the clothing brand itself is still owned by Bluestar Alliance.
