We're proud to introduce the experts who will be selecting this year's nominees and winners.

The M&A Awards is the annual landmark event for professionals working in M&A, corporate finance, private equity and venture capital. The M&A Awards gather dealmakers from across the country at a black-tie gala dinner. Join 700 rainmakers on the 28th of November 2024, when we celebrate the best deals of the period October 2023- September 2024.

The following jury members will be selecting this years winners and nominees:

Lieve Creten: Board member and advisor in M&A, finance, and strategy. Founding partner of Deloitte Belgium's M&A practice. Board member at Barco, CFE, Telenet, Montea, and Unibreda.

Philippe Haspeslagh: Honorary Dean of Vlerick Business School, Chairman of Family Business Network Belgium, and Honorary Chairman of Ardo and Capricorn Partners.

Sophie Manigart: Professor of Corporate Finance and Faculty Dean at Vlerick Business School. Expert in entrepreneurial finance, venture capital, and private equity.

Renaat Berckmoes: Partner at Fortino Capital Partners, with deep expertise in financial matters and strong connections to the financial world.

Michael Sephiha: Journalist at De Tijd/Mediafin, specializing in M&A, private equity, and corporate governance.

At the M&A Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award was granted for the very first time. The honour fell to Jos Peeters, founder of Capricorn Partners. Everyone who learns about his efforts and accomplishments, both at a corporate level and across the wider sector of venture capital, will confirm this is a well-deserved recognition. Kevin de Patoul (Keyrock): "The external perspective of our investors enables us to plot the right future path"

Although Keyrock operates in a highly volatile sector, the cryptocurrency market maker has been recording a stable growth since its inception in 2017. To raise the funds it requires to continue that boom, the Belgian company recently opted for a new round of funding. It raised 72 million dollar and promptly won ‘Best Venture Capital Deal - Technology 2023’ at the M&A Awards. “Once all markets are digital, we want to be one of the largest financial institutions in the world.”

M&A Awards: Oxygen for the economy

This years’ Belgian M&A Awards highlight the added value of strategic M&A in growing the Belgian entrepreneurial ecosystem. More than 500 people attended the award show at the Brussels Expo.
