Based on data from Dealmakerdata.be – the country’s fast-growing database that tracks announced transactions and highlights the professionals behind them – participation from Belgian dealmakers continues to rise. As a result, the platform offers an increasingly comprehensive and transparent view of the local M&A ecosystem.
With the first quarter of 2026 now concluded, it is time to take stock. Which advisors closed the most deals? Who led the market in terms of deal value? As every quarter, the League Tables answer these essential questions for the Belgian M&A community.

M&A Advisory & Financial Due Diligence - Deal Activity in Q1, 2026
Finvision led the market in the first quarter, closing 17 deals, followed by LDS Advisory with 13 transactions. Closing rounded out the top three.
The quarter’s highest-value deal was advised by Eight Advisory Benelux, which conducted due diligence for investment fund Sofindev in its acquisition of a minority stake in energy supplier Elindus.
In terms of individual contributions, Christophe De Paepe topped the League Tables, playing a key role in 16 deals – reflecting the strong performance of the leading firm in terms of deal activity.
Most Active Legal Advisory Firms & Professionals
Ace Law tops the list for Legal Firms. They closed deals for amongst others Studibo, Tilleghem, and The Ensur Company. Argo Law and Four & Five complete the top 3 with 5 deals each:
Didier Roemers (Ace Law) was involved in all of Ace Law’s 13 deals and takes the first place in the Dealmakers Top 10. Louis Hoet (Argo Law) and Davy Gorselé (Quorum Law) complete the top 3.
Most Active Investors in Q1
The private equity sector saw robust activity in the first quarter. Gimv completed 4 deals, including the sale of a majority stake in ALT Technologies to CCL Industries.
Tilleghem also closed 4 transactions, among them an add-on acquisition for its portfolio company Geniki.
The quarter’s largest investment came from Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL), which committed 500 million euros to Rayner, a specialist in eye-care medtech.
