The bankrupt KV Oostende may get a new start in amateur football thanks to KSV Diksmuide.
Third national KSV Diksmuide and the bankrupt KVO want to merge. De Tijd reports this.
The deal has not yet been completed, but it looks like KV Oostende will come back to life sooner than expected, a week after the club's bankruptcy.
If negotiations are successfully completed, KV Oostende will not be obliged to make a new start in the fourth provincial level, but will be able to compete in the third amateur class, the fifth level of Belgian football, just above the provincial series.
