Investors like technology in the healthcare sector.

The Limburg healthcare technology start-up Extra Horizon has raised one and a half million euros from the Limburg investment company LRM and a private investor.

Extra Horizon develops a cloud platform on which medical software applications can be built. The platform complies with all regulations for medical software applications and is therefore increasingly one of the founders of important innovations in the healthcare sector.

Extra Horizon, which is based in Hasselt, is a spin-off of FibriCheck, a mobile solution for detecting cardiac arrhythmias.

“We have been big fans of Extra Horizon from the start”, says Koen Walbers, senior investment manager at LRM. “Digital technologies not only improve access to care, they also increase the accuracy and speed of diagnoses and treatments. Furthermore, these technologies make it possible to deliver care remotely.”

The identity of the second investor has not been disclosed.
