Yource Group integration the latest in WEngage transformation

WEngage and Yource Group join forces

WEngage and Yource Group want to join forces to create an even stronger customer services group in the Benelux.

Koramic Investments plans to sell its call centre group, WEngage, to Dutch peer, Yource – subject to regulatory approval. As a leading player in the Belgian customer services market, WEngage will bolster Yource’s local footprint, as well as both companies’ international presence.

In addition to Belgium, WEngage (with approximately 1,000 employees) also operates in Morocco and Turkey, supporting organisations’ customer service, sales, technical support and omnichannel customer interactions. Yource, a customer contact specialist that turns data into smarter processes and a better customer journey, has more than 4,000 employees across nine countries.

The partnership is the latest in WEngage’s comprehensive transformation programme, launched in recent years as the customer contact industry faces increasing pressure from technological change, the rise of artificial intelligence and a more global market. Like many other players in the sector, the company has seen significant impacts on its performance and employment – with losses expected to continue into 2027.

Where WEngage began
To understand WEngage’s transformation and the details of its deal with Yource Group, we have to go back to 1999, when IP Globalnet was founded. The company had two divisions: IP Globalnet Solutions – which focused on software development (diallers, telephones and switchboards) and on-site PC support (via a help desk) – and Global Care & Contact Centres. IP Globalnet Solutions grew through the acquisitions of smaller companies in the same field, including Teleserv in 2000, Paratel in 2001, Eurocell in 2003 and later Directel.

In 2010, IP Globalnet Solutions rebranded to IPG Group and continued its acquisitions, including taking over Dutch outsourcing company Go Excellence, adding Call Center Benelux to its IPG BV portfolio and integrating SNT Belgium into the group – which settled on the brand name IPG in the last quarter of 2013. In 2014, in2com (formerly Sitel Belgium) and The Ring Ring Company (specialised in digital customer interaction solutions) also came onboard. The Experience Group and Call-IT became part of the organisation in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In 2021, The Koramic Group formed Koramic2Engage as an umbrella group uniting all of these acquisitions.

In 2023, IPG, In2com and Call-IT combined their activities into one company, called WEngage, and Koramic2Engage became WEngage International.

Navigating change through transformation
Over the last two years (2024-2026), WEngage CEO Marco Croon has worked to stabilise the company and lay a strong foundation for its next phase of growth.

“The past few years have demanded a great deal from both our employees and management team,” acknowledges WEngage owner and chairman of WEngage International and Koramic Investments, Christian Dumolin, thanking the team for their resilience, flexibility and commitment during this time. “Thanks to their efforts, WEngage has emerged stronger and is now ready to take this important next step.”

The two entities will remain separate but work closely together to realise the envisioned synergies across support functions, technology, administration, knowledge sharing, and business development.

Marco Coon will join Yource’s Executive Board, as well as the Board of Yource Group (referred to in the Netherlands as the Supervisory Board). “Throughout our transformation journey, we successfully safeguarded continuity for both our customers and employees while reinforcing confidence in WEngage,” he shares. “I am excited to work alongside Yource to continue earning our customers’ trust through the combined strengths and expertise of WEngage and Yource.”

Koramic will become a significant minority shareholder of the new group. Christian will also stay closely involved. “WEngage has always believed in the power of people in customer contact. The major changes our sector is going through bring many opportunities. With Yource, we are much better able to make use of them. Together, we look forward to shaping the future of customer contact services in the Benelux.”
