The annual turnover of Xwift is increased by the acquisition to 125 million euros.
Xwift, the Belgian transport and logistics company, has announced the acquisition of Delletrans. a Heverlee-based transport firm.
The acquisition is aimed at further solidifying Xwift’s presence in Flemish Brabant. The acquisition aligns with Xwift’s ongoing strategy to expand its dedicated transport services and distribution network.
Delletrans, founded in 2012 by brothers Herman and Louis Ginis following the cessation of Transport Ginis, specializes in dedicated transport, 24-hour distribution, and refrigerated transport. The company operates a fleet of 54 vehicles. “We chose to transfer our company to Xwift because we share similar values and vision”, says Herman Ginis, who is retiring after a long career in the industry.
Through this acquisition, Xwift gains a 4,500 m² warehouse in Heverlee, further enhancing its logistics capabilities. With this expansion, the company now employs 740 drivers, 140 office staff, and 50 warehouse workers, achieving an annual turnover of 125 million euros.
“This acquisition allows us to strengthen our position in the Flemish Brabant region while integrating the expertise and infrastructure of Delletrans into our operations”, says Pieter Denys, CEO of Xwift.
