De Heus expands in Belgium and Northern France with acquisition of Voeders Huys.
As of June 3, Voeders Huys has officially become part of De Heus Voeders. This strategic acquisition marks a significant step in De Heus' continued growth and its commitment to local production and sustainable partnerships in Belgium and Northern France.
Voeders Huys operates two key production sites, one located in Bruges and another in Northern France. The acquisition enables De Heus to serve customers in these regions more efficiently through local manufacturing, reducing transport distances and lowering the environmental footprint.
Founded in 1938, Voeders Huys has a longstanding presence in the grain trade dating back to 1865. With strong regional roots and a solid reputation, the Huys family made the deliberate choice to join De Heus—a fellow family-owned business—based on shared values, a long-term vision, and trust in the future of Belgian livestock farming. The Huys family will remain actively involved in the company's next phase.
