European growth investment firm Verdane has announced a strategic partnership with mobile application security leader Guardsquare. The investment aims to scale Guardsquare’s reach and address the rising threats in the mobile app security landscape.
With mobile applications increasingly central to how users engage with businesses, the need for robust mobile security has grown.
Verdane’s investment will help Guardsquare expand its offerings globally through a combination of mergers and acquisitions, product enhancements, and organic growth.
Guardsquare, recently honored with Cyber Defense Magazine’s Mobile App Security Award, provides a comprehensive suite of mobile protection tools used by over 900 organizations worldwide. The partnership builds on previous backing from Battery Ventures, which supported Guardsquare’s global expansion and talent growth, particularly in the U.S.

Verdane Partner Morten Weicher called Guardsquare’s growth “impressive” and emphasized the firm’s commitment to helping bring the company’s security solutions to more businesses globally.
The transaction is pending regulatory approval.
