The Belgian private equity fund Vendis Capital has acquired ABC Clinic, a private clinic in Breda specialized in aesthetic and plastic surgery.
The clinic is joining the group that already includes SOAP and Fairday Clinics (formerly BM Clinics) since last year. With the addition of ABC Clinic, the group now consists of 25 clinics.
The transaction was supported by acquisition advisor Marktlink. The approaching retirement of co-founder Ankie van der Linden provided a natural moment to take this step. The sale is intended to prepare the clinic for its next growth phase.
The acquisition of ABC Clinic fits within Vendis Capital’s broader buy-and-build strategy. In 2024, Vendis entered the sector with the acquisitions of SOAP and Fairday Clinics. The firm is also actively working on acquiring the Dutch Obesity Clinic (NOK), an organization with eleven locations.
At the end of August, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) gave the green light for the deal, but there has not yet been news of an agreement with U.S. investor Medtronic founder Kobus Dijkhorst. Early last year, Vendis Care, through its portfolio company Silver Care, acquired Well-Fair, a company based in Nunspeet.

This development goes hand in hand with increasing competition, market fragmentation, and investment pressure. At such times, it is especially important for entrepreneurs to maintain oversight and choose the most suitable partner.”
