Five Million Invested in Triginta, Which Is Growing Slower Than Expected

The Dutch investor VP Capital has joined the Belgian religious real estate developer Triginta, which specializes in the redevelopment of monasteries.

According to the Belgian business newspaper De Tijd, VP Capital has invested five million euros in Triginta. Recently, the Belgian real estate company increased its capital by ten million euros, half of which reportedly came from VC Capital, with the rest contributed by Belgian investors.

VP Capital has not confirmed the exact amount of the investment. The company serves as the investment vehicle of the Van Puijenbroek business family, which is estimated to have a fortune of around 500 million euros.

VP Capital cites shared sustainability goals as a key reason for the investment in Triginta. "Triginta and VP Capital both believe in transforming not just buildings, but also communities. We create spaces where sustainability, social well-being, and heritage come together to shape a better future."

The Ghent-based fund owns 210 million euros worth of real estate. According to De Tijd, the fund's growth has been slower than expected. The goal of building a real estate portfolio worth 750 million euros by 2026 has been postponed to 2030.
