European digital solutions group team.blue has taken a strategic stake in B2Brouter, a Spanish provider of e-invoicing and digital compliance tools.
The deal marks team.blue’s ninth acquisition this year as it continues to expand its software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering. Last week, team.blue announced the acquisition of Shoptet, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading online shop-building platforms.
Founded in 2003 by Oriol Bausà, B2Brouter has grown into a specialist in automated and compliant invoicing across Europe. The company supports more than 20 national e-invoicing standards as well as full compliance with Peppol, the international framework for standardized e-invoicing.
Headquartered in Spain, it employs 50 staff across Europe and serves clients ranging from freelancers and small businesses to multinational organizations.
The acquisition comes as mandatory B2B e-invoicing rules are set to be introduced across Europe in the coming years, creating strong demand for digital compliance solutions.
B2Brouter’s ISO 27001 certification and active membership in the Global Exchange Network Association underline its expertise in regulatory compliance.
As part of the transaction, team.blue becomes a strategic partner alongside the existing shareholders, while B2Brouter’s management will continue to lead the company. Integration into team.blue’s network gives B2Brouter access to 3.3 million customers in 22 countries, as well as opportunities to accelerate growth through product development, marketing, channel expansion and potential acquisitions.
Commenting on the deal, team.blue CEO Claudio Corbetta says: “We are excited to welcome B2Brouter to the team.blue group. Their expertise in Peppol compliance and extensive coverage of local e-invoicing formats perfectly complements our mission to provide European SMBs with the best digital tools to succeed online.”
