Belgium-based digital enabler team.blue has further strengthened its position in the European e-commerce market with the acquisition of Shoptet, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading online shop-building platforms.
Founded in Prague in 2009, Shoptet has grown into a major player in e-commerce enablement, generating revenues well above 30 million euros and employing more than 300 specialists. Its cloud-based platform covers the entire merchant value chain—ranging from website building and payment integration to logistics and digital advertising. The company has also expanded into the enterprise segment with Shoptet Premium, catering to larger brands and established businesses.
With customer satisfaction scores above 90 percent, Shoptet is widely recognised as one of Europe’s most intuitive shop builder solutions. The acquisition gives team.blue access to a strong foothold in Central and Eastern Europe, while also complementing its broader portfolio of digital solutions for SMEs across the continent.
Shoptet will continue to operate under its current brand and management team, now within team.blue’s wider ecosystem, which serves over 3.3 million SMBs in 22 European countries and is supported by more than 3,600 employees.
“The partnership with team.blue gives us an enormous opportunity to accelerate innovation, expand our reach, and bring even more value to our customers”, says Jan Hospodka, COO of Shoptet.
Claudio Corbetta, CEO of team.blue, adds: “Shoptet’s best-in-class products and innovative spirit align perfectly with our mission to make online business success simpler while also supporting EU digital sovereignty. We see significant potential to further scale Shoptet internationally within our group.”
The acquisition highlights team.blue’s commitment to expanding its e-commerce capabilities and strengthening its leadership in Europe’s fast-growing digital economy.
