Leuven-based TaxMachine has acquired Zwijnaarde’s iStart B.V. and will now operate under the commercial name BeanCounter.
This strategic move aims to provide accountants and self-employed professionals with an integrated digital platform for tax and administrative services.
iStart has focused in recent years on supporting startups and freelancers with digital tools for business formation. Through its integration into BeanCounter, the platform will further optimize the startup process with smart calculation tools, including optimal payment schemes.
Despite the acquisition, iStart will continue as a separate brand, catering to individual entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, BeanCounter will leverage TaxMachine’s technology to enhance automation and accuracy in tax and accounting processes for professionals.
