Sweco acquires assar architects to strengthen integrated design capabilities in Belgium, France and Luxembourg.
Engineering and architecture group Sweco has announced the integration of assar architects into its operations, marking a strategic move to deepen its multidisciplinary design offering across Belgium, France and Luxembourg.
The merger brings together Sweco’s technical engineering expertise and assar’s architectural design strengths under a single entity, Sweco Architects, enhancing the group’s capacity to deliver large-scale, future-proof projects that combine creativity, sustainability and technical excellence.

Founded in 1985, assar architects employs around 150 people across Brussels, Antwerp, Liège, Luxembourg and Paris. The firm has built a strong reputation through projects such as the Defence Headquarters, CHR Liège, EIB Luxembourg, and The Cube in Diegem.
