Eduviva Group, Europe’s leading provider of creative and educational products, has announced its agreement to acquire Baert, a prominent Belgian supplier of educational materials and furniture.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Eduviva’s strategy to consolidate its position as the most comprehensive platform for educational and creative products across Europe.
A strategic fit
Baert, headquartered in Ternat, Belgium, brings over a century of expertise in didactic materials, school supplies, and solutions for early childhood and primary education. The company’s long-standing reputation and deep market knowledge align closely with Eduviva’s mission to inspire creativity and a love for learning.
“Baert’s heritage and expertise in educational products make it an ideal partner for Eduviva”, said David Persson, CEO of Eduviva Group. “This acquisition not only strengthens our market leadership in Belgium but also reinforces our commitment to supporting educators and learners across Europe.”
Continuity and growth
Following the transaction, Baert will continue to operate as a separate business unit under its established brand. The Baert logistics center will remain in Ternat and Molenstede, ensuring continuity for customers and employees. The Baert family will also become minority shareholders in Eduviva Group, further integrating the two organizations.
Goele Baert, representing the Baert Group, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “Joining Eduviva Group provides us with access to a broader European network and new opportunities for innovation. We are excited to continue serving Belgian schools and childcare centers with the same trusted Baert identity, now backed by the resources and expertise of a leading European group.”
