Belgian engineering and consulting network Studibo has acquired Solvexis, a Scandinavian specialist in safety and prevention for industrial facilities.
De Tijd report this.
The acquisition marks its first expansion outside the Benelux and its 20th acquisition since investment firm Icelake became its majority shareholder in early 2025.
Studibo, which consolidates engineering firms focused on building certification, inspections, sustainability consulting, and environmental services, has rapidly scaled under Icelake’s leadership, targeting growth in both the Benelux and international markets. This latest deal accelerates that ambition, bringing Studibo’s expertise into Nordic industries, including pharmaceuticals, data centers, and energy infrastructure.
Solvexis’s specialization in industrial safety and risk prevention aligns with Studibo’s mission to provide end-to-end support for architects, developers, and property managers – from construction and renovation to compliance and sustainability. While Studibo’s previous acquisitions were confined to the Benelux, the addition of Solvexis signals a strategic push into Northern Europe, leveraging the region’s strong demand for technical inspections and regulatory compliance.
The move reflects Icelake’s broader strategy to transform Studibo into a pan-European leader in engineering and consulting services, combining local expertise with cross-border scalability.
