Eye Security, a leading Dutch cybersecurity player, has closed a 60 million euros Series C round led by Sofina.
This is the largest investment ever in a Dutch cybersecurity startup.
Existing investors such as TIN Capital, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners are participating again.
Founded in 2020 by former experts from Dutch intelligence and security services, the company offers an integrated platform that combines digital security and insurance. With over a thousand customers in the Benelux and DACH regions, Eye Security focuses on mid-sized organizations seeking access to high-quality cyber expertise.
The new investment will be used for further growth in Europe, product development, and expanding teams in technology, threat intelligence, and customer engagement. Eye Security distinguishes itself through European values, independence, and a platform that integrates monitoring, incident response, and cyber insurance.
"Sofina seeks entrepreneurs who build category leaders in markets with structural growth opportunities", says Jean-François Burguet, Principal and Digital Transformation Lead at Sofina. "As AI democratizes cyberattacks, we believe Eye Security is well-positioned to defend organizations against these threats. By combining strong cybersecurity expertise with focused ambition, Job and his team have built a platform that offers enterprise-grade security to the mid-market. We look forward to supporting this team as they expand their services across Europe."
"Cyberattacks are getting smarter and faster. Organizations need to respond to them every day," says Job Kuijpers, founder and CEO of Eye Security. "Europe needs its own cybersecurity solutions—solutions developed here, based on European values and independence. That’s what we’re building at Eye Security."
