Belgian investor Smile Invest has acquired a majority stake in BAP Medical, a specialist in medical skin care based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
The Belgian investor, which also has an office in The Hague, now holds the controlling interest. BAP Medical was founded 20 years ago by Rob Hollweg, who will remain involved as a minority shareholder after the deal.
The company develops, manufactures, and distributes medical devices for patients dealing with scars, burns, chronic skin conditions, allergies, hard-to-heal wounds, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) disorders.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
