Belgian SaaS scale-up SEQUESTO has raised 2.5 million euros in growth capital from Smartfin and Newion, two of Europe’s most prominent B2B software investors.
The funding will accelerate SEQUESTO’s international expansion and strengthen its position in the fast-growing RFP optimisation software market.
Founded in 2020 by Patrick Dalvinck (CEO) and Evrard t'Serstevens (CTO), SEQUESTO has developed an AI-first platform that streamlines the entire RFx process (RFI, RFQ, RFP and tenders). Its agentic workflows automate repetitive and error-prone tasks, helping bid teams handle more projects with the same resources, while systematically improving efficiency and win rates.
The company already operates across major European markets and the United States, serving clients such as ISS Facility Services, ooDrive and Barona. Its technology aims to disrupt a space long dominated by players like Loopio and Responsive by going beyond incremental improvements and redesigning the tendering process with advanced AI capabilities.
Smartfin founding partner Jürgen Ingels says SEQUESTO addresses a “strategically important but often slow, complex and inefficient” process by combining AI and automation. Frank Claassen, managing partner at Newion, adds that SEQUESTO provides a holistic solution for the full RFx cycle, deployable across sectors and regions.
With Smartfin and Newion on board, SEQUESTO plans to accelerate growth in Europe and North America and consolidate its position as the most intelligent AI-driven RFP response platform.
