Rocsys, a leader in autonomous EV depot solutions, has launched the Rocsys M1, the first hands-free, multi-bay charging system designed for robotaxi fleets.
Set for large-scale deployment in North America and Europe by 2027, the M1 is part of a broader platform aimed at enabling full depot autonomy.
The overhead rail-mounted system works across mixed EV fleets and charger types, maximizing parking space and boosting productivity by up to 75 percent without disrupting operations. The innovation addresses a critical bottleneck in fleet scaling, where manual charging has become a major operational and safety challenge.
The Dutch-American company also secured a 13 million dollars Series A extension, led by Belgian investor Capricorn Partners, alongside Scania Invest and others, bringing total funding to 56 million dollars.
Capricorn Partners’ Steven Lambert highlighted Rocsys’ role in solving the infrastructure gap for autonomous mobility, emphasizing its proven technology in high-demand environments. The M1’s AI-driven precision and modular design ensure 99.9 percent plug-in success, adapting to real-world variables like lighting and vehicle positioning.
Rocsys’ solution is already validated by a major robotaxi deal and will be showcased at ACT Expo in Las Vegas (4–6 May). CEO Crijn Bouman described the M1 as the “missing link” for transitioning robotaxi pilots to global deployment, enabling uninterrupted, autonomous fleet operations. With 130+ patents and a focus on interoperability, Rocsys is positioning itself as a key player in the 45.7 billion dollars robotaxi market projected for 2030.
