Rivean Capital has acquired a majority stake in Deltrian International SA, a leading European provider of air filtration and purification solutions.
Founded in the 1960s by the Alexius family, Deltrian – which has its headoffice in Fleurus, Belgium – has grown under the leadership of Jürgen Alexius into a prominent platform serving industrial, commercial, and technical markets across over 20 countries.
The partnership with Rivean aims to accelerate Deltrian’s growth, leveraging its deep technical expertise and strong customer relationships.
The European air filtration market is driven by increasing demand for indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and sustainability, as well as stricter regulations and industrial modernization. Deltrian, with its recurring revenue streams from consumables and services, is well-positioned to capitalize on these trends. The collaboration with Rivean will support organic growth, innovation in air quality solutions, and a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate the fragmented European market.
Jürgen Alexius, representing the second generation of the Alexius family, expressed enthusiasm for the new chapter: “Deltrian has always focused on improving air quality and reducing energy costs for our customers. With Rivean’s support, we are ready to expand our footprint and strengthen our capabilities as a sustainable European leader.”
Nicolas Linkens and Peter Hujoel of Rivean Capital praised Deltrian’s management team, customer relationships, and growth trajectory, emphasizing their shared ambition to scale the business.
The transaction, subject to customary conditions including merger clearance, will see Deltrian’s management team reinvest alongside Rivean. Financial details were not disclosed. Rivean Capital, with over 5 billion euros in assets under management, has a strong track record of supporting mid-market companies with cross-border growth strategies.
