Belgian RegTech company RiskConcile has acquired London-based Fitz Partners, a specialist in fund fee and cost data. The transaction marks RiskConcile’s first international add-on since partnering with Main Capital Partners in June 2024.
Founded in 2013, Fitz Partners is a leading provider of databases and reporting solutions on fund fees and costs, serving over 65 of the world’s largest asset and fund managers. The company has a strong position in the UK and cross-border markets and is preparing to expand its coverage to the French domestic funds sector.
By combining Fitz Partners’ proprietary data and reporting expertise with RiskConcile’s cloud-based solutions for regulatory reporting and risk calculations, the two firms aim to address growing regulatory pressures and demand for transparency in the European funds industry.
RiskConcile CEO Jan De Spiegeleer says the acquisition strengthens the firm’s ability to support asset managers with “more efficiency, insight and confidence” in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Fitz Partners’ founder Hugues Gillibert highlights the cultural fit and growth potential, noting that the deal enables Fitz to expand its offering while maintaining its reputation for quality.
Jorn de Ruijter, Investment Director at Main Capital Partners and Chairman of RiskConcile, calls the transaction “a major step towards building a pan-European market leader in regulatory technology”, underlining Main’s strategy of creating larger, market-leading software groups through cross-border expansion.
With this acquisition, RiskConcile and Main Capital strengthen their position in the European RegTech market, combining regulatory reporting, advanced risk analytics, and high-quality fund data into a single platform.
The acquisition of Leuven-based RiskConcile marked Main's first Belgian platform investment and its fourth Belgian acquisition since opening its Antwerp office in September 2022.
