In a labor market plagued by 163,000 unfilled blue-collar vacancies across Europe, Belgian startup Ringtime has raised 1.8 million euros to transform how recruiters connect with candidates.
Traditional recruitment tools – built for white-collar roles – fail to engage workers in sectors like logistics, retail, and hospitality, where phone calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and language barriers persist.
Ringtime’s AI-powered platform automates outreach, adapting to candidates’ preferred languages, communication channels, and timing thereby eliminating the inefficiencies of manual recruitment.
Unlike conventional HR tools, Ringtime deploys conversational AI agents that screen, match, and engage candidates without human intervention, while still delivering a personalized experience.
"Recruiters spend hours calling candidates who never pick up, only to find the role filled the next day", explains a Ringtime spokesperson. "Our AI learns which channels work –WhatsApp, SMS, or voice – and in which language, then acts instantly."
The platform’s infrastructure is designed to scale across sectors, geographies, and languages, bridging the gap between demand and supply faster than the market itself.
Beyond recruitment, Ringtime’s technology is already being applied to real estate visit management, automating property viewings outside office hours removing human bottlenecks entirely.
The 1.8 million euros seed round, led by Volta Ventures with participation from Syndicate One, JK Invest, New School VC, and Allusion, will fuel product development and expansion into the Netherlands, UK, and Germany.
With early traction proving market readiness, Ringtime is building an AI-first future where high-volume, time-sensitive interactions – whether hiring workers or selling properties –happen seamlessly, at scale.
