Retail Media Support to acquire Belgian promo platform myShopi from BD Media

post-title

One of Belgium’s largest promotion platforms, myShopi, will have a new owner as of January 1, 2026.

Retail Media Support (RMS), best known for its app and website PromoPromo.be, will take over the platform’s operations from BD Media. The sale aligns with BD Media’s strategy to focus more closely on its core business activities.

Founded in 2010, myShopi has become a staple for Belgian consumers, offering digital flyers, promotions, loyalty card storage, and shopping lists through its app and website. The platform counts 210,000 weekly users and has been downloaded 1.8 million times. BD Media acquired myShopi in 2014, marking an 11-year tenure before handing it over to RMS.

According to Leen Dehantschutter, Managing Director at BD Media, the move ensures that myShopi receives the “attention and expertise” a digital platform requires: “We believe in omnichannel activation, reaching and engaging consumers through various touchpoints. myShopi deserves a partner specialized in the digital retail space, and RMS fits that role perfectly.”

For consumers, little will change: the myShopi app and website will remain active, along with familiar features like shopping lists and loyalty cards.

With this acquisition, RMS strengthens its position in Belgium’s digital retail media market, while BD Media sharpens its focus on direct consumer activation through its core distribution channels.
