Vendis Capital takes next step in the market for comfortable living at home for seniors.
Vendis Capital takes over the company Well-Fair from Nunspeet (The Netherlands) with its portfolio company Silver Care BV. Well-Fair is the leading Dutch company in beds for seniors.
In July last year, the investor already bought the Dutch company Meubelzorg that makes chairs for the elderly. That transaction amounted to around thirty million euros, reports Het Financieele Dagblad. The company does not want to report how much Silver Care will pay for Well-Fair. Well-Fair employs 45 people, Meubelzorg has 150 employees.
With the acquisition of Well-Fair, Silver Care adds two new categories to the range of products that allow elderly people to live at home for longer: senior beds and wellness products. Just like Meubelzorg, Well-Fair has a consumer-oriented business model in which customers orientate themselves online and can then put together the bed completely according to their own wishes via an appointment at their home or in the Well-Fair showroom.
Daan Corvers, CEO of Silver Care BV: “Well-Fair is a strong and innovative brand that has built up a leading position in the senior bed market. We are therefore very pleased to join forces. We are confident that our companies mutually reinforce each other and that together we can offer an even better offer and service to those people who would like to continue living independently in their own home for longer.”
