PIA Group, Belgium’s fastest-growing accountancy and advisory firm, is expanding into the Dender region with the acquisition of B&A Advies.

This addition brings two new offices in Aalst and Meerbeke, further strengthening PIA Group’s local presence.

According to Steven Brouckaert, Executive Chairman of PIA Group, the acquisition is a significant step in the company’s expansion. “We continue to believe in the power of local offices”, he states. “Our slogan ‘Advice closer to you’ highlights both our personal approach and the geographic accessibility of our services in Flanders, Brussels, and soon Wallonia.”

Strong growth for B&A Advies
Founded in 2009 by Wouter Devloo, B&A Advies has rapidly grown into a leading firm specializing in SMEs, IT companies, management firms, and medical professionals. The team has expanded from six to twenty employees, operating from offices in Meerbeke and Aalst, with an additional meeting office in Ghent.

Devloo emphasizes that clear communication and regular reporting are key elements of their success. “Our clients gain insights into their company’s progress, allowing them to better plan future steps”, he says.

Maintaining identity within PIA Group
One of the reasons B&A Advies chose to join PIA Group is the assurance that it can retain its unique identity. “We acquire firms under the motto ‘Don’t fix what isn’t broken’”, explains Brouckaert. “We respect each firm’s unique working methods and specializations, enhancing them with shared services such as HR and IT, allowing for even greater client focus.”

PIA Group Belgium CEO Nathalie Calle also highlights the strong team dynamics at B&A Advies. “Many employees started as interns and chose to stay. We are confident that joining PIA Group will provide additional training and career advancement opportunities.”

More acquisitions on the horizon
B&A Advies is the ninth firm to join PIA Group in 2025, with more acquisitions to come. “We are in discussions with multiple interested firms, both in Flanders and Wallonia”, confirms Brouckaert.

With this expansion, PIA Group strengthens its position as a leading player in accountancy and advisory services while maintaining its commitment to a personal and client-focused approach.
