Jurimesh secures 1.6 million euros in pre-seed funding to revolutionize AI-driven legal due diligence
Belgian legaltech startup Jurimesh has raised 1.6 million euros in a pre-seed funding round to accelerate the development of its AI-driven legal due diligence platform. The funding, led by international investment network Syndicate One and supported by several business angels, will be used to refine its technology and expand its market presence across Europe.
Transforming legal due diligence with AI
Legal due diligence has traditionally been a slow, costly, and error-prone process, requiring lawyers to manually review contracts and identify potential risks. Jurimesh aims to change that with its cutting-edge AI technology.
By integrating seamlessly with data rooms, its platform applies advanced AI-powered document recognition and Large Language Models (LLMs) to detect red flags, provide recommendations, and generate detailed due diligence reports.
“The legal industry has tolerated inefficiency for too long. We’re here to change that”, says Jorrit Willaert, CEO of Jurimesh. “This funding allows us to push our technology further and redefine how legal teams approach legal due diligence and contract analysis.”
With the fresh capital, Jurimesh plans to expand its AI team to enhance proprietary algorithms and improve legal reasoning capabilities. It also wants to strengthen its presence across Europe by growing its commercial team and forming strategic partnerships. Finally, it wants to develop new features aimed at fully automating legal due diligence, eliminating manual repetitive work altogether.
Syndicate One, a founder-led Belgian fund that invests in early-stage tech startups, is backing Jurimesh in its mission to streamline legal due diligence. Other investors include prominent business figures such as Matthias Geeroms (Lighthouse), Jeroen De Wit (Teamleader), Roeland Delrue (Aikido), and Koen Vandaele (Deloitte), among others.
