Belgian employment agency Nestor, specializing in job placements for individuals aged 60 and older, has welcomed Down2Earth Capital (D2E) as a strategic partner.
Already a market leader in Belgium and the Netherlands, Nestor aims to use this partnership to accelerate its growth and expand further across Europe.
Founded in 2016, Nestor connects experienced professionals with companies seeking flexible and motivated workers, catering to the increasing demand for post-retirement employment.
The company has grown significantly through organic expansion and acquisitions, including the takeover of Ervaren Jaren in 2020 and Uitzendbureau 65plus in 2023. Currently, Nestor has a database of 120,000 workers and places 2,000 employees weekly across various sectors.
With D2E’s expertise in staffing and business services, Nestor’s co-CEOs Mathieu Vandenhende and Nicolas Moerman see this as a crucial step toward scaling operations across Europe.
The company anticipates further growth in 2025, fueled by both existing clients, such as Foodbag, and new partnerships with companies like Colruyt and VAB. Expansion into neighboring countries will be pursued through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
D2E believes Nestor is well-positioned in a growing market, as flexible employment for retirees becomes increasingly encouraged across Europe. Integra Partners, which invested in Nestor in 2022, will continue supporting the company’s expansion.
This partnership sets the stage for Nestor’s next phase of growth, ensuring a sustainable and scalable model for senior employment across Europe.
