Multipharma has officially completed its acquisition of Goed pharmacies, following approval from the Belgian Competition Authority.
This strategic move reinforces Multipharma’s commitment to the cooperative pharmacy model and enhances its presence in Flanders.
The deal includes:
• 88 pharmacies,
• Pharmaceutical wholesale activities, and
• Supporting services.
However, Goed’s Individual Medication Preparation (IMV) unit, which supplies nursing homes, is not part of the acquisition. Goed will now focus entirely on home care services, maintaining its role as a key player in the sector.
Continuity for patients and employees
For now, both Multipharma and Goed pharmacies will operate independently to ensure seamless patient care. Over time, services will be aligned to enhance pharmaceutical care quality. Patients and employees will experience minimal changes in the short term.

With this acquisition, Multipharma strengthens its mission to make pharmaceutical care more accessible in both ambulatory and residential settings across Belgium.
