“This double acquisition is a significant milestone in our growth strategy”, said the founder.
Vedelux, the Kortrijk-based supplier of custom premium blinds, has strengthened its presence in the Netherlands with the acquisition of two divisions: the 'horizontal blinds' units of Dib Blinds BV and Wehlton Trading BV.
This strategic move reflects the West Flanders company’s ambitions to grow its market share in the Netherlands. Vedelux is co-owned by founders Alexander Vererfve and Kristof De Meulemeester.
“This double acquisition is a significant milestone in our growth strategy”, said Alexander Vererfve. “It allows us to expand our reach in the Dutch market and offer our high-quality products and services to a broader audience. By merging the trusted products of Dib and Wehlton with Vedelux’s standards of excellence, we believe we can serve our customers even better.”
Celebrating a decade of entrepreneurship
Next year, Vedelux will mark its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the company has established itself as a leading player in the Belgian market for high-quality horizontal blinds, known for its strict quality standards and customer-focused approach.
Vedelux operates through a carefully selected distributor network, which expanded last year to include Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. With this international growth, the company is strengthening its position in the mid-to-high market segment and is poised for further expansion. “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved over the past 10 years and are confident in our continued growth in both existing and new markets”, said the founders, who have worked side by side since the company’s inception.
