Keylane, a European powerhouse in software solutions for insurers and pension funds, has announced its acquisition of Vereycken & Vereycken, Belgium’s leading provider of life insurance and pension software.

The deal marks a significant expansion for Keylane into one of Europe’s most complex and highly regulated markets.

By integrating Vereycken & Vereycken’s deep local expertise and 30 years of specialized experience, Keylane solidifies its position as a key player in the Belgian market, while creating a combined organization of nearly 1,100 experts serving around 550 clients across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Vereycken & Vereycken will continue to operate as an independent business unit within Keylane’s Life & Pension segment, with a strong focus on the Belgian market.

The company’s flagship UL3 platform will remain central to its growth strategy, with plans to enhance it using Keylane’s AI product suite, software modules, and sovereign cloud hosting solutions.

Leon de Looff, Managing Director of Life & Pension Northern Europe at Keylane, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition: “Together, we will expand our offerings in the Belgian market and significantly boost the capabilities of the UL3 platform.”

The move underscores Keylane’s commitment to innovation and scalability in a tightly regulated sector.

The acquisition aligns with Keylane’s broader international growth ambitions, combining market share with critical local expertise in the pension industry.

While the transaction is subject to regulatory approval, it is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.

Luc Vereycken, CEO of Vereycken & Vereycken, described the deal as a natural progression: “Joining Keylane strengthens our ability to deliver market-leading technology while maintaining our focus on customer value and future-proof solutions.”

The collaboration promises to bring robust technological synergies, benefiting clients in Belgium and beyond.
