Eurovo Group, a European leader in egg and egg product production, has announced the acquisition of Belgian company Hulstaert & Cie, a specialist in egg-based products.
The move expands Eurovo’s footprint in Northern Europe and enhances its production capacity.
Hulstaert & Cie, operating under the Fleggs brand, produces 10,000 tons of egg products annually, supplying the food service and food industry sectors in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, and Luxembourg.
With this acquisition, Eurovo adds a Belgian facility to its existing 20 production sites across Italy, France, Spain, Poland, and Romania. The company aims to strengthen its position in Northern European markets while expanding its production capabilities.
Founded over 70 years ago by the Lionello family, Eurovo remains a family-run business with a network of more than 5,000 clients in 40 countries. In 2023, the company reported a revenue of 1.277 billion euros and employs over 2,000 people.
Headquartered in Imola, Italy, Eurovo operates one of Europe’s largest production plants in Occhiobello. It serves both B2C and B2B markets, with brands like le Naturelle, ProUp, and Lolli for consumers, and Eurovo Service and Maia Professional for professionals in the food service sector.
