Turpaz expands in Europe with acquisition of Belgian sweet flavors company Doucy.

Turpaz Industries has announced the acquisition of Belgian sweet flavors manufacturer Doucy for 8.5 million dollar, marking its second deal of the year.

The transaction also includes an additional payment contingent on Doucy's EBITDA performance by March 2027.

The acquisition strengthens Turpaz’s presence in the European market, particularly in the Benelux region, by integrating Doucy’s expertise in sweet flavors with Turpaz’s existing capabilities. The deal also includes Doucy’s modern production facility in Fernelmont, Belgium, which serves leading clients in the region.

Founded in 1968, Doucy specializes in developing and producing sweet flavors for food and beverages, along with additives and colors for the animal feed industry. In 2024, the company reported a sales turnover of 5 million dollars with profitability rates aligned with Turpaz’s Taste division.

Karen Cohen Khazon, Chairperson and CEO of Turpaz, describes the acquisition as a key milestone in the company's global growth strategy. "The synergy between Doucy's knowledge in sweet flavors and our expertise in the savory sector in Belgium will allow us to offer a broader product portfolio and high-quality solutions to our customers. This move solidifies our position in the global flavors sector."
