Hasselt’s emerging AI company Lowi has raised 2.7 million euros in fresh capital to accelerate the rollout of its AI platform across the Benelux, with plans to expand further into Europe.
Founded in 2025, Lowi leverages nearly two decades of entrepreneurial experience from its founder, Klaus Dillen, and is backed by The Nest family office in this funding round.
Unlike many AI-driven startups, Lowi positions itself as a pragmatic voice in an industry often swept up in hype. The company focuses on automating and optimizing business processes for SMEs, offering a balanced approach that combines AI-powered analysis and strategic advice with traditional, reliable software execution.
This method ensures that AI recommendations are only implemented after explicit human approval, aligning with the cautious yet innovative strategies seen in other Belgian tech firms.
The funding will enable Lowi to scale its solutions, addressing the growing backlog of operational improvements that many SMEs struggle to tackle. By prioritizing practicality over generative AI, Lowi aims to provide businesses with actionable, efficient, and trustworthy automation tools.
With this investment, Lowi is poised to make a significant impact in the Benelux market, offering a grounded alternative in a sector often dominated by bold but untested AI promises. The company’s approach reflects a broader trend among Belgian tech firms: delivering innovation without sacrificing reliability.
