Glowi makes double acquisition with RCA and HeadOffice

The two companies will join Glowi in a new marketing and communications group.

Glowi, the largest private employer in Flanders, continues its growth strategy through majority stakes in RCA and HeadOffice, two leading players in the field of brands, marketing and communications.

These collaborations are a new step in Glowi's plans to further diversify its services. The two companies will join a new marketing and communications group that will instantly have more than 100 marcom professionals and work for an extensive customer portfolio in B2C, B2B and government communications, with well-known names such as Fluvius, Bank Nagelmackers, the Federal and Flemish Government, Samsung, Lapperre and Haacht Brewery. Tom Van den Bergh, CEO of RCA, will manage the new marcom arm.

“With this acquisition we open the door to the marketing and communications sector,” says co-CEO Jo Mellemans. “We have been working with RCA for 7 years and I have also been closely involved with the company as an external director for three years. So this feels like a very logical, natural step. I am convinced that RCA is the ideal platform to build a new multidisciplinary marketing and communications group. HeadOffice is a first very complementary addition. The fact that the management of both RCA and HeadOffice is committed shows the confidence they have in Glowi's strategy and vision.”

The Glowi group employs more than 16,000 employees and serves 100,000 customers. This makes it the largest private employer in Flanders and the market leader in household services in Belgium. The group's portfolio of activities is aimed at relieving worries for people and companies. Its activities currently consist of Het Poetsbureau and Easy Life, which offers household help via service vouchers and is perhaps the best-known branch within the umbrella group.
