The deadline for bids on glass manufacturer AGP has been extended once more.
Over ten potential buyers have expressed interest in taking over the company’s operations, which employ 1,200 workers across three Belgian locations.
The initial bidding deadline was set for January 31 but was previously extended to February 28. Due to continued interest, the liquidators have now decided to push the deadline further, allowing prospective buyers more time to finalize their offers and make necessary preparations.
AGP, formerly known as Soliver, operates facilities in Zwijnaarde, Roeselare, and Evergem. The company sought legal protection last year and was placed under judicial supervision by the Ghent Commercial Court, Kortrijk division, on November 19.
Its parent company, AGP Group, relocated its headquarters to Ghent several years ago but has faced financial struggles since the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the closure of a plant in Mexico.
