Gimv sells its stake in AlpenBlu Clinics

post-title

Private equity firm Gimv has sold its majority stake in AlpenBlu Clinics, a leading Swiss outpatient mental healthcare provider, to Impact Healthcare (IHC), the healthcare investment platform of Swiss family-owned group Après-Demain.

The founders of AlpenBlu Clinics, Drs. Elizabeth and Andrei Cicotti, will remain involved, partnering with IHC to drive the company’s next growth phase.

Originally founded as Les Psy Réunis, AlpenBlu Clinics has established itself as a prominent provider of psychiatric and psychological care in French-speaking Switzerland, operating across Geneva, Vaud, and Fribourg. The company’s scalable platform combines high-quality patient care with a supportive environment for practitioners, addressing the rising demand for mental healthcare services.

During Gimv’s partnership since 2021, AlpenBlu Clinics expanded its footprint organically and through acquisitions, enhanced its management and governance, and invested in digitalization. These efforts solidified its position as a leader in outpatient mental healthcare, while adapting to regulatory changes. Gautier Lefebvre, Kevin Klein, and Hadrien Pigot of Gimv Healthcare highlighted the platform’s growth, tripling in size, and expressed confidence in IHC’s ability to continue this trajectory.

The transaction underscores Gimv’s success in transforming entrepreneurial healthcare businesses into market leaders, delivering returns aligned with its long-term targets. Upon completion, the deal is expected to positively impact Gimv’s net asset value per share by approximately EUR 0.25.

The founders and IHC are committed to accelerating the network’s expansion and maintaining clinical excellence.
