Belgian investment firm Gimv takes a majority stake in Hemink, the Dutch sustainable renovation and maintenance specialist, to drive national expansion and boost eco‑friendly property services.
Gimv has acquired a majority stake in Hemink Group from Pontex and Hemink’s former management, who retain a minority share. The deal sees Hemink’s leadership team co‑invest, underscoring their commitment to the company's onward growth. Founded over 65 years ago in Holten, Hemink employs 370 specialists across four sites and has built its reputation on quality, flexibility and comprehensive, circular renovation and maintenance services for large‑scale real estate projects.
The partnership will enable Hemink to expand its sustainable property‑maintenance offerings in the Belgian and Dutch markets, meeting rising client demand while preserving employee conditions. Gimv’s Sustainable Cities platform will support Hemink with strategic expertise to scale operations and enhance circular project approaches, aiming to optimise total cost of ownership, reduce CO₂ emissions and reuse materials. Clients benefit from streamlined, results‑oriented maintenance and long‑term value creation.
Subject to regulatory clearance, the transaction aligns with Gimv’s focus on sustainability and urban innovation. Both parties expect minimal operational changes, with Hemink retaining its brand identity and leadership team. Financial terms remain undisclosed.
