Gimv acquires Groupe Tibbloc to drive international expansion and energy innovation.

European investment firm Gimv has acquired a majority stake in Groupe Tibbloc, a French leader in temporary energy rental solutions.

The transaction, completed alongside Tibbloc’s management and founders, aims to accelerate the group’s growth in France and support its international expansion.

Founded in 2007 near Nantes, Tibbloc provides rental solutions for heating, cooling, steam, compressed air, and dehumidification, serving diverse sectors such as district heating, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and industry. The company operates 11 platforms across France, Belgium, Austria, and Germany, employing around 120 staff and generating over 40 million euros in annual revenue.

The acquisition comes as Tibbloc capitalizes on a growing market fueled by urban energy demands, rental services, and climate change considerations. With a robust portfolio and expertise in decarbonization efforts, Tibbloc aims to strengthen its position and broaden its services.

“Tibbloc’s track record of innovation and operational excellence makes it an ideal partner for Gimv”, says Nicolas de Saint Laon, Head of Gimv France. “We are excited to support their ambitious growth and sustainability goals.”

While financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, this investment positions Tibbloc as a key player in Gimv’s Sustainable Cities portfolio and a leader in Europe’s evolving energy landscape.
