The acquisition marks Foresco’s 25th to date, further solidifying its position in the Benelux region.
Foresco, a leader in sustainable pallet and packaging solutions, has announced the acquisition of LeBeck, a Belgian company renowned for its expertise in the sorting, repair, and reuse of used pallets.
LeBeck, which has been active in the pallet industry since 1994, operates from two locations in Ham and Bastogne and generates an annual turnover of approximately 15 million euros.
This acquisition aligns with Foresco's ongoing mission to promote sustainability within logistics. "With the addition of LeBeck, we are taking another significant step toward a sustainable future", said a Foresco spokesperson. The integration of LeBeck’s specialized knowledge and experience will enhance Foresco’s platform for collecting, repairing, and reusing pallets, thereby extending their lifecycle and reducing environmental impact.
LeBeck's entire team, including former owner Filip Debecker and its 35 employees, will remain with the company. This move enables Foresco to process pallets more efficiently and continue providing just-in-time, localized, and sustainable logistics solutions to its customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
The acquisition also boosts Foresco’s operational network in the region, enhancing delivery speed and efficiency while reducing transport distances. Looking ahead, Foresco is expanding its footprint in Northern Europe, with plans to acquire Danish firm STEA, adding 45 million euros in turnover from operations in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
Foresco aims to reach 1 billion euros in revenue by 2027, continuing its strategy of acquiring and growing high-potential companies across Europe. "We are well on our way to achieving our goals", stated CEO Ponnet, underscoring the fragmented nature of the pallet industry as a prime opportunity for consolidation and growth.
With these expansions, Foresco is not only growing its market share but also contributing to a circular economy focused on reuse and sustainability.
