Fagron expands U.S. footprint with acquisition of University Compounding Pharmacy

post-title

Belgian-Dutch compounding specialist Fagron has acquired University Compounding Pharmacy (UCP), a San Diego–based 503A compounding pharmacy.

The deal, valued at 41.5 million dollars with annual revenues of around 25 million dollars, is financed entirely from Fagron’s own resources.

UCP is active in the health and wellness segment, with strong expertise in hormone therapy and urology, and a solid track record in regulatory compliance. The acquisition strengthens Fagron’s position in California, a key growth market in North America.

The deal follows a string of recent acquisitions: earlier this year, Fagron acquired Guinama in Spain, while three international transactions were completed in 2022.
