Antwerp-based growth partner Equals Three has acquired KAN, a well-established branding and technology firm, doubling its team to 35 employees and marking its first expansion into the US.
The merger combines Equals Three’s expertise in business & finance, product innovation, and branding with KAN’s AI and automation capabilities, creating a unified platform to simplify growth for businesses navigating complex markets.
Co-founder Orlando Thuysbaert emphasized the shift away from traditional models: “No other agency integrates these domains while helping clients build a sustainable, internal growth engine—where results are visible both in output and on the bottom line.”
Founded in 2012, Equals Three has evolved from an innovation agency into a full-service partner, supporting companies through organic and inorganic growth, including M&A, exit planning, and brand development.
KAN brings nearly 40 years of experience in strategy, design, and digital development, along with a proprietary AI model already in use with clients.
Co-founder Mathias Schaubroeck noted that the market is ready to move beyond fragmented solutions: “Traditionally, finance, innovation, and marketing operate in silos. We’ve proven that integrating these disciplines not only creates a competitive edge but also delivers measurable impact on business value.”
The acquisition aligns with Equals Three’s vision of leveraging technology as a force multiplier. With its own AI-driven platform, the company offers clients a personalized environment that connects internal and external data with automated workflows accelerating processes, enhancing creativity, and improving output.
Thomas Brouns, joining as a partner from KAN, stated: “While others downsize due to automation, we’re investing further. Technology isn’t a threat; it’s the key to scaling our model and our clients’ success.”
The combined entity aims for 5 million euros in revenue by 2028, with further targeted acquisitions on the horizon.
