Ekopak strengthens financial position and corporate governance

Ekopak, the water-as-a-service (WaaS) provider, has announced key measures to bolster its financial structure and governance framework.

Following a previous announcement on April 2, 2025, the company is now moving forward with a substantial capital increase and leadership changes aimed at supporting long-term growth.

The company has secured irrevocable commitments for a capital injection of nearly 15 million euros. Investment firm Alychlo will contribute 14.1 million euros, with the remainder coming from individual investors and family offices.

The new shares will be issued at 5.60 euros per share. This financing is intended to support Ekopak’s strategic growth targets through 2028, with the WaaS model remaining central to its plans.

As part of a related agreement among major shareholders, Pilovan will sell over 1 million shares to Alychlo at the same share price as the capital increase.

Governance changes also reflect Ekopak's ambition. Jos De Vuyst, currently an independent board member, will become Chairman of the Board as of May 14, 2025. The company is actively seeking a new external CEO, while interim CEO Pieter Loose will transition to Chief Strategy & Growth Officer once a successor is appointed. Additionally, Geert Bossuyt has been named the new CFO.

These changes mark a significant step in Ekopak’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and preparing for sustainable expansion.
