Easyfairs, a leading global events organizer, has announced the acquisition of Paris-based Food Hotel Tech and Tech For Retail, two premier events focused on innovation in the hospitality and retail industries.

This strategic move combines the events’ strong French heritage with Easyfairs’ extensive national and international network, unlocking new growth opportunities across Europe and beyond.

Under the continued leadership of Karen Serfaty, the entrepreneurial team behind the events will leverage Easyfairs’ data-driven approach and operational expertise to enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience while preserving their core values. The acquisition also expands the events’ reach, enabling them to connect with broader audiences and foster innovation on a larger scale.

The partnership aligns with Easyfairs’ broader strategy to strengthen its technology portfolio, reflecting the growing importance of tech and data in reshaping the retail and hospitality sectors.

The next editions of Tech For Retail (30 November–1 December 2026) and Food Hotel Tech (31 March–1 April 2027) will take place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, attracting thousands of visitors and exhibitors.

Karen Serfaty expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Easyfairs was the natural home for both events. Our goal is to build platforms that shape the future of the market, not just follow it.”

Alison Willis, CEO of Easyfairs UK & Global, praised the team’s community focus and emphasized the strategic fit within Easyfairs’ portfolio, highlighting the potential to maximize marketing, technology, and collaboration across regions. The partnership is poised to drive innovation and growth in the evolving retail and hospitality landscapes.
