German Investor Orlando Capital has been given permission to further shape the strategic direction of the retail formulas.
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has granted approval to the German investment company Orlando Capital V GmbH & Co. KG to acquire full control of Homefashion TopCo B.V.
This parent company includes the well-known retail chains Kwantum and Leen Bakker, which together operate in the home furnishings retail sector in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) concluded on March 9, 2026, that the acquisition will not harm competition in the market. Both chains, Kwantum and Leen Bakker, focus on selling window treatments, flooring, wall products, lighting, home accessories, and ready-made furniture, both through physical stores and online stores.
Orlando Capital, an investor with interests in various sectors, will be allowed to further shape the strategic direction of the retail chains.
According to the ACM, this acquisition will ensure that the Belgian and Dutch home furnishings markets remain sufficiently competitive.
